Fan Design

In the past several years since his retirement as Chief Engineer of a large Canadian fan company, he has used his considerable experience and knowledge of the fan industry to develop a unique aerodynamic design approach that permits fans to be individually and reliably designed for a given specific speed and fan type, complete with detailed impeller and casing dimension parameters, blade angles, etc.

With this technique, the basic performance curves of a whole series of fan widths of a single fan type can be designed in a rational progression of impeller widths. In this way a broad application range can be covered using the specific design parameters required for each series of fan widths. This unique design approach is based on a review and analysis of fan performance design parameters, and fine-tuned from field tests he has conducted.

Detailed information is available to fan companies interested in expanding their own line of fan designs, or to initiate manufacture of a completely new line of industrial and commercial fans reliably, economically and quickly. It would be specially attractive to new and younger companies, who could then start designing their own fans in a rational and tested manner, sing the design know-how provided by Argus Fans Inc.

Service and Application Problems

In addition to offering fan design information, Argus Fans can undertake the solving of all manner of service and application problems with on-site visits.  Experience gained from over 50 years of hands-on research and design experience in handling both simple and tough service problems provides the knowledge to tackle the many and varied service problems associated with the use of Centrifugal fans in industry today.  Click here to refer to the list of successful projects.

Inspection and Validation Services

Argus Fans can now offer vendor surveillance of any sub-let fan fabrication to local steel fabricators, based on approved welding procedures with dimensional checks as the work progresses.  Formal inspection reports, with confirmation of any on-site NDT undertaken by others will be provided.
